Anonymity has its perks. It helps you stay unfound but not absent. It's best for people who wish to test the waters.
In a world where everyone is desperate to show off, to gain popularity and grab eyeballs, anonymity is rare. Anonymity is a courageous act, because the one donning it has to sacrifice all the spotlight and fanfare. It is in fact best for the people who wish to avoid any decorations and exhibit plain talent.
However, in today's materialistic society, anonymity is a big risk to be taken. Hiding your name, when, all the world wants, is name and fame, it's rather a tough choice and a dangerous one. And act of anonymity may be considered a foolish one by most people.
Anyway, there's a flip side, anonymity is extremely useful for someone with a small fan base or humble background. Because, it helps them to avoid being judged on the basis of who they are, and, instead helps their talent shine.
Most people might disagree with the reasons given in support of anonymity, but these are personal opinions of an individual and may be disagreed with. However, the thrill and suspense that anonymity carries with it, is undeniable. It sometimes helps bring stars out of dust.
But, ultimately, anonymous or not is an individual choice and ought to be respected.
