Duality And Duplicity

Duality forms the basis of life on earth, in nature. Yin and Yang, shadow and light, particle and wave, positive and negative.

The concept of duality is in the core of our very being. It is the presence of two forces or components, which, despite being opposite, are actually complimented by each other. They are contrasting but not incompatible, they are like two sides of a coin, both different, yet necessary. Duality brings balance to nature and completes the universe.

Duality is the very nature of existence, while duplicity is a veil that is used to falsify truths. Duality and duplicity have nothing in common except the number two. Duplicity arises due to the lack of authenticity or ingenuity. A person shows double-facedness in order to hide one of their faces or persona. Its not personality, it's about impersonation and trying to pretend what one isn't. Duplicity, however smartly be attempted, cannot survive for long. It is a trait which makes people lovable and likeable, but only temporarily, because it is like a cover that masks one's true nature. On the other hand duality is the very core of our being, it is the nature itself, it is what makes you what you are. It like the skin on the flesh, very original and genuine.

Hence, duality is just a variant of all the beings found in nature, while duplicity is pretence. You cannot and need not change the former, but must try to avoid the later.
